Education for System CEOs & Administrators

The CALAPRS Administrators' Institute is an educational opportunity for member Retirement System Administrators / CEO's / Executive Directors. Each year the agenda is developed by a planning committee commissioned by the CALAPRS Board of Directors.

This immersive event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with peers, share insights, and learn from one another. Through timely and relevant sessions, participants will:

  • Deepen your knowledge of emerging issues
  • Strengthen leadership and management skills
  • Explore best practices
  • Address common challenges
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and innovation

In addition to professional development, the Institute provides space to unplug from daily responsibilities, recharge, and return with renewed focus and fresh ideas. The program is designed to foster collaboration, spark innovation, and support growth in a collegial and engaging environment.

Agenda

The program begins with lunch at 12:30 PM on Wednesday and concludes at 11:00 AM on Friday. The registration fee includes the option to stay Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights and attendees will indicate their needs on the registration form. Registration

This meeting is open to the CEO, Administrator, or Primary Representative from each CALAPRS member retirement system. If the CEO or Administrator is unable to attend, they may designate an Assistant Administrator or Assistant CEO to attend on their behalf.

The registration fee is $3,000 and includes provided meals, lodging, and conference materials. The registration fee includes the lodging for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights and attendees will indicate their requested dates on the registration form. If you need to decline lodging, please contact CALAPRS directly.

Hotel Reservations

CALAPRS will make the hotel reservations at The Quail on behalf of all registered participants and will cover the cost directly with the hotel.
